Johnny Garcia was born and raised on the West Side of San Antonio, by his mom who taught him the value of hard work. He has spent nearly two decades serving Bexar County as a deputy, SWAT hostage negotiator, and now as Public Information Officer for Sheriff Javier Salazar. An old school Democrat, Johnny is fighting for the voice working families deserve — for people like his mom, and his fellow deputies on patrol, and their children too.
Johnny believes hard work should be rewarded, healthcare should be affordable, and safety should be everyone’s priority. Johnny is living proof that if you give Texans the opportunity, we’ll do the work. But we need leaders to keep the playing field level and ensure everyone plays by the same rules.
